Lady Lamps

Lady Lamps are dress forms often hand sculpted by The Victorian Lady and converted to a lamp to display her own creations or vintage or antique clothing. A special lampshade is custom designed to complement the costume. Special orders using your wedding dress or favorite garments are welcome. Click on smaller images to see a larger view.

Mini Dress Form Lamp This mini dress form is costumed in lace and textiles primarily from the late 1800's.  The sleeves are from the early 1900's and the velvet trim is of new material.  The lampshade made as a hat to complement the costume is from vintage fabrics and feathers.  Jet beading is from the Victorian era.  All fabrics have been attached to the form and cannot be removed as a separate garment.  Approximate height is 45 inches.                         Sold

1905 Bridal Lady Lamp This 1905 wedding toilette is of fine net with rows of ruffled lace edging.  The waist has a deep yoke with an "1830's style" bertha  which  falls over the shoulders to form sleeves.  The girdle is of ivory satin and pointed in the center front.  The skirt is a graceful design of layers of ruffles and falls to a medium sweep in the back.  The undergarments include a camisole with tatted edging and a half slip which has five layers of ruffles with the same sweep as the skirt.   This costume is approximately a size 6 to 8 in bust and hips, but is small in the waist.  Costume is in very good condition and may be removed from the form.   The lampshade hat is made from all vintage fabrics of the period and has peach silk ribbon embroidery for accents.                                   Sold

Lady Lamp Collage This Lady Lamp is a collage of fine old laces.  There are over twenty  yards of vintage crocheted lace in the costume and the hat/shade.  Salesman's samples lace from the early 1900's form the bodice.  Accents include silk ribbon embroidery and a vintage crocheted purse.  A shawl is formed by the draping of a French net embroidered bedspread and bustled in the back at the waist.  The lace spread may be removed for other uses, but all other laces are sewn to the costume and cannot be removed as a garment to be worn.                                                                                   Sold
