Commissioned Paintings
I don't often accept commissions, but have gradually come to the realization that it is important when working in abstracts. Color is probably one of the most important elements in my work when accepting a commission. The alcohol ink colors are intensified with resin so it can be overwhelming to see a large painting with the colors much more vivid than they would normally appear in a smaller painting or one without resin. It has taken me years to be able to 'tone down' my colors.
I just delivered some commissioned paintings a couple of weeks ago. I forgot to ask permission to publish a photo of the paintings installed. Here are two of the paintings.
